The city of Zacatecas is located in the central part of the Mexican
Republic in the state with the same name. Zacatecas, named "Cultural
Patrimony" by the UNESCO in 1994 is without undodoubty the
best preserved colonial city, not only of Mexico but of the entire
American continent. It is part of the Colonial Treasures of Mexico
and its cultural heritage is truly impressive.

of interest
The hill of La Bufa is the backdrop for the city´s unique
Historic Center. It is replete with narrow and steep alley ways
that are romantic and nostalgic. While strolling down the "Callejón
del Sanreo", "Las Campanas" or "Resbalon",
you will become involved in the history of a city where legends
are living. Well worth is a visit of the mine of "El Eden".
The old Colonial City is an attractive center of tourism that
has the necessary infrastructure to offer first class services.
Numerous hotels and restaurants open their doors daily to the
tourists who visit the city.

you should not miss
- Trip with the train into the mines of Eden - train operates
daily from 10am to 6pm and costs USD 2.50 per person
- Take a tour with the cable car to the mountain "La Bufa",
enjoy the beautiful view of the city, visit the museum
of the revolution on top of the mountain and have a look at
the statues of the "heroes" of the Mexican revolution,
the most famous being "Pancho Villa".

Zacatecas´nightlife has to offer
Also at night, Zacatecas has a lot to offer for all ages and
desires. Young people gather at night in bars such as "La
otra España", "Gaudi", "Malaga"
and "Cactus". For visitors who want to enjoy something
special, there is the unique discotheque located in the mine
"La Eden". Those who prefer traditional Mexican nightlife
will find their place at "Cazadores", opposite of
the "Plaza de Armas" or in the night bar of the hotel
"El Meson del Jobito", a former village which was
transformed into a unique hotel.
